McLean, VA, USA – The Construction Management Association of America (ż) has announced that Houssam “Sam” Sleiman, PE, CCM, Fż has been named ż’s 2018 Person of the Year.
Sleiman is the Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs (CP&EA) for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). In this capacity, Sam oversees development and delivery of Massport's capital programs, including construction at Logan International Airport, Boston's Seaport District and maritime facilities, Hanscom Field, and Worcester Airport.
“We are pleased to recognize Sam for his dedication to the construction industry, best-in-class service, and implementation of AEC best practices, especially those that push the boundaries of conventional project programming, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning,” states Christopher J. Payne, PE, CCM, Chair, ż Board of Directors.
The Person of the Year Award is given to an industry leader who has made significant contributions on behalf of the construction management industry. It is bestowed upon a member who possesses unparalleled leadership, high quality workmanship, and an outstanding record of accomplishment. Presented on behalf of ż’s Board of Directors, this award recognizes an ongoing commitment to promoting and upholding the profession’s highest standards.
